Millbrook Mortgage Management Ltd (holder of AFSL 335001) is the Responsible Entity for the Millbrook Mortgage Fund, a registered retail contributory mortgage fund.
Millbrook Funds Pty Ltd (holder of AFSL 402900), is the Manager of the Millbrook Income Fund, an unregistered contributory mortgage scheme that is only open to wholesale and sophisticated investors (as defined by the Corporations Act).

David Lyall, the CEO and ultimate shareholderof the above companies, oversees the day to day management of the group. David is supported by his fellow directors and staff who between them possess many years experience in lending and management.
Over more than 20 years David has owned and operated a number of businesses in home building, land subdivision, insurance, finance and farming. He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and is a Responsible Officer for both the Millbrook Income Fund and the Millbrook Mortgage Fund.
Simon has 30 years’ experience in business, having held a number of accountancy roles in public and private companies in New Zealand and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce.
Robert has over 50 years’ experience in the banking and finance industry, and has been a director of Millbrook Mortgage Management Ltd for over 10 years. He is a Compliance Officer and Responsible Officer for both the Millbrook Mortgage Fund and the Millbrook Income Fund.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience in accounting, business management, banking, property and direct private lending. He specialises in providing property advisory services and sourcing debt and equity for property development transactions, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA as well as Diplomas of Financial Services and Financial Planning.
Millbrook Finance Pty Ltd:
Millbrook Finance, established in 2005, specialises in lending to property developers and builders by way of caveat and second mortgage. Many years of experience in the property development industry has permitted Millbrook’s principal, David Lyall, to effectively manage the risk associated with this type of lending. Personally meeting each and every borrower, and inspecting the proposed security have been instrumental in risk mitigation. Funds under management stand at $20M
Millbrook Mortgage Management Ltd
In 2017 Millbrook purchased AF&L First Mortgages Ltd and its associated registered retail contributory mortgage scheme. This company had been in existence since 2007 with $45M of funds under management at its peak.
The company and scheme were renamed Millbrook Mortgage Management Ltd and the Millbrook Mortgage Fund. Since being acquired funds under management have more than doubled and funds under management now stand at $25M.

In early 2019 Millbrook purchased Secura Funds Ltd and an associated unregistered contributory mortgage scheme funded exclusively by wholesale and sophisticated investors. These entities were subsequently renamed Millbrook Funds Pty Ltd and the Millbrook Income Fund
Millbrook Funds lends on first and second mortgage, specialising in loans for property development and construction. While this type of lending comes with greater risk, the Fund’s investments are actively sought by sophisticated investors who understand that risk and seek the higher yield it generates. Millbrook’s management team have a proven track record and appropriate skills to manage that risk.
The Fund was established in 2011 and currently has a book of over $45M with a very low level of arrears.
The Group has experienced strong growth over the past few years and the Directors believe this will continue in the future.
